Norie Ventura has an Accounting and Finance Honours Diploma from Seneca College and brings over 30 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience. Norie Ventura has a deep passion for working with numbers. Numbers are the foundation of how she analyzes, interprets, and creates value in her work. She enjoys helping entrepreneurs take charge of their financial data to achieve their dreams.
In the last decade, she has become an expert in cloud accounting platforms like QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero. She also works with integrated cloud solutions such as Wagepoint, DEXT, HUBDOC, Square, and Stripe. Her early adoption of cloud accounting sets her apart in Simcoe County and has allowed her to develop innovative approaches to streamline financial reporting and management.
She has trained a diverse range of individuals on cloud accounting platforms, including entrepreneurs and their in-house staff, bookkeepers, colleagues, friends and family members. Her ability to simplify bookkeeping concepts has enabled non-accounting individuals to confidently manage their own bookkeeping. The Teaching and Training Adults Recognition of Achievement program recently completed at Georgian College has given her the confidence to develop and refine her teaching skills to facilitate successful adult learning in the accounting field.
Having worked in accounting firms she has extensive experience across a wide range of businesses, each with unique accounting needs. She possesses an understanding of the information required by accountants to prepare year-end financials and collaborates closely with your accountant when required.

What cloud accounting software do you use?
We use QBO/Xero as our cloud accounting software. DEXT software to capture sales and vendor receipts through the DEXT’s mobile app, browser, and email. QBO payroll or Wagepoint to pay employees and mange payroll taxes. We also work with entrepreneurs, to learn about their industry specific cloud software and how it can integrate with QBO/Xero. Lastly, we assist with the integration of cloud payment systems such as Paypal, Stripe, Square.
What type of businesses have you worked with before?
Having worked in both the corporate world and for accounting firms over a 30-year span, Norie with extensive experience across a wide range of businesses, each with unique accounting needs, such as restaurant, retail, medical and health professionals, construction, trades, and real estate.
Norie also has a Fundraising and Resource Development Certificate from Georgian College and has experience providing business advisory services to charities, not-for-profit , and health team centres in Simcoe County.
What if I currently do everything manually and do not use cloud accounting software?
We would discuss what the conversion would look like. The most important aspect of setting up entrepreneurs on accounting cloud platforms is a mindset to learn a new way of keeping your financial records current and embracing technology. It is an investment in your company. Ideally, your books would be up-to-date, and the conversion would take a few months before your next fiscal year end or calendar year end if you are a sole proprietor to allow for transition time before going live. If your accounting records are not up to date, the first step is to bring the books up to date before conversion.
Do you offer personal and corporate tax preparation and filings?
No, we do not prepare personal and corporate tax returns and file them. We collaborate with your accountant or tax preparer and ensure the year end information is provided to ensure deadlines are met.
Currently I have a bookkeeper, but they do not provide me with financial statements and I do not have a full understanding of my business finances. Can you help me?
We have been able to train bookkeepers (in-house or contract bookkeepers) to use the cloud accounting platforms used in-house and streamline processes and incorporate other cloud platforms
Depending on the expertise of the bookkeeper, we can offer services such as reviewing monthly financial statements, creating customized reports, and creating a budget based on the foundation that the bookkeeping is accurate and prepared on a timely basis.
Our experience has been largely positive. It often creates a win-win situation: the business benefits from continuing its relationship with the bookkeeper, who might gain new, more efficient and effective methods for managing the bookkeeping. Simultaneously, we provide the business owner with valuable financial insights to support informed decisions.
How do you charge for your services?

Your monthly fixed price pays for the significant benefits and efficiencies we deliver, not just the hours we work.
